Description:
Tony Stark’s taking a sample of the Extremis serum allows him to be reborn with a stronger body, without the need of the arc, as well as the ability to communicate with machines. To prove the stronger part, Tony actually lifts up and holds his two best friends for a few seconds - though Rhodey hints at the possible don’t-know-your-own-strength bit.
Before the end of the episode, there is also a scene where one of Nick Fury’s Mandroids attacks manic-Mallen with a similar reverse-hold, but not any longer than a second or so.

When S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Mallen is fired by General Nick Fury, Mallen takes the super-serum “Extremis” and mutates into a powerful maniac bent on revenge. When Iron Man tries to fight Mallen, he ends up defeated and in critical health ... and his only savation would be a dose of the selfsame Extremis.
