Sunday November 15 2015 - Walking with pridePassion for wrestling
When I was in Toronto, I met this guy who had a different way of showing his passion for wrestling. Sure, he would wrestle pro, flashing his single shoulder leotard singlet, talk dirty and employ dirty tactics. He'd mimic very well the nasty heel that the crowd would love to boo. But this guy would also walk in the streets where the gay pride events are held. Many people would stop near him and ask to take a picture with him.

A reporter once stopped him and asked:

- "Sir, don't you feel irresponsible wearing that little amount of clothing while there are kids around?"

He calmly answered:

- "This is gay pride and if the are children here, it's because their parents have brought them here. It's a way of showing them the culture and a way to tell their children that if they were also gay, their parents would be in full of support of them."

We all have our ways to express our passion for wrestling. I do it behind a laptop coding a site that helps people connect with each other, most people wrestle privately to fulfill their passion, and others, like this fellow, wears proudly his gear and takes pictures with every tourists as a way to share the wealth of joy and happiness of being a gay wrestler.

Honestly, it requires quite some courage and I do admire him. I make it easier for people to surf online looking for it to find what they are looking for, but for those who always though of wrestling as a taboo and believe they are alone in this world, this guy makes it a public statement that there are people just like them, who enjoys wrestling for more than just a sport.
