Sunday March 30 2025 - 33 years of Black Eagle: Ben Monaco vs. Mickey Knoxx	Wrestling shows
CanWrestle (id 9693) was in town yesterday for a few matches, but for more importantly, he came also to attend the 33rd anniversary of the Black Eagle bar where the organizers have decided to hold on their main stage a match between BenMonaco (id 5578) vs. Mickey Knoxx. The event was held at 10 pm and the wrestlers were instructed to keep it at a 10 minutes match length, because the main interests/fetishes of the bar is quite varied, and wrestling is apparently not as popular as other kinks. They rammed the music and the two veteran wrestlers, Ben and Mickey, circled around and started applying holds one after another. The two had a very good chemistry and I admire their passion and their courageous mission to create awareness of the gay wrestling movement in Montreal. Here are a few pics from the bout below: The crowd adored it and let out a few Ooooh! and Aaaah! as the wrestlers clamped on some of the most spectacular holds. People love a great show of strength along with its technical aspect; Ben's rack along with Mickey's crab are a few of the nice elements that wowed the public. Each hour, the bar would hold one different kink. While Ben's matched was allotted only a small 10 minutes, the S&M tie-up kink that was displayed the hour after lasted 30 minutes, so that shows a glimpse on what people in this bar prefers. Still, it's never too late to convert and raise more warriors and fighters to our cause. Both Ben and Mickey joined us after for a talk while we sip our beer and rum and coke. Both CanWrestle and I had a nice talk with them. Ben was also adamant to let Mickey Know that I am sort off... his grandfather and.. that Mickey is my granddaughter 😂 Why so? Well... Ben Monaco told me that I was one of his first opponents and he learned a lot from me from that match. Of course, as the years went by, he excelled and became a veteran, his knowledge far surpassed mine, but there are apparently still a few bits here and there from our prior matches that he was able to pass on to Mickey. 😅 In his view, that would explain the fictional wrestling genealogy between me, him and Mickey. I didn't mind actually: on the contrar, it's a honour for me to see a great wrestler like Ben telling me that he learned from our fights and that he passed on his experience to his fellow protégé and to many other opponents down the line. As the bar became a bit more crowdy, it was hard to breathe and circulate, so CanWrestle and I left about an hour after the match. CanWrestle was limping a bit and I think I may have caused some great pain to his knee due to a brief match I had with him before the Black Eagle event. Yes, before we went to the bar, CanWrestle and I exchanged a few holds here and there and I may have been a bit too excited to see him. I checked with him again today and he told me that he was fine, that the condition of his knee is due more to the cold weather we were having. Still, I'm making myself a note not to put a leg lock/ankle lock on him ever again in the future. 😅
