Willy just graduated from bootcamp in North Carolina and shows up at the Hillside Wrestling event. He is well-known in the wrestling world for his rough style of submission grappling with punching. As yet, he is unproven in the pro wrestling ring, a different side of wrestling that doesn't emphasize power but more acting. Willy is noticed by several wrestlers, including the man who manages Frank the Dragon. He tells Frank he is going to set up a bout for that night and Frank is to take Willy out any way he can.

Tommy is invited for a weekend of wrestling by a pro wrestling coach. One of the coach's heavyweight buddies drops in for a few rounds. Tommy and Shawn had long wanted to have a head-to-head battle. They had seen each other at the well-known OKIE Rumble but somehow never managed to tangle. Since Tommy lived on the West Coast, it was difficult to arrange a match. But now was the chance for the epic battle. At the time, Tommy only weighed 165 lbs while the heavyweight (at that time) was up to 240 lbs. It is a hopeless mismatch but as you will see Tommy can take a lot of punishment.
