While this game gives you the possibility of creating your own wrestlers and move-set, the bearhugs are of short length. They don't last more than 5 seconds because the wrestler automatically releases the opponent after the elapsed time. One would think that smashing the button on the joy-pad would help apply the bearhug longer, but meh... that does nothing.
So, in order to see more of the bearhug, you have to keep applying it over and over.
The controls of this game are a bit confusing. Just to get the submission moves to work, you need to hold R1 + Press down on the "Right" analog stick, then you move the "Right" analog stick towards the direction of the programmed move. Quite a bit of trouble for those who are not used to console games, but either ways, this game was meant for advanced users =)
If you selected the bearhug as a finisher, then you get a nice close-up shot of the bearhug.
The commentaries made by the announcers are a nice plus and adds to the realism at first, but it gets annoying on the long-run because you'll know they end up saying the same thing.. In the end, you'd wish there was a way to disable it. However, the funny part is that even if the match sucks, the announcers will just keep saying how great the match is :)
The quality of the graphics is amazing. It's probably one of the best wrestling game graphic-wise to date... and I haven't seen the 2008 edition yet. :) The game offers you a good amount of wrestling holds, some of which are quite hot. It is lacking the full nelson body scissors but, at least, the sleeper body scissor is available.
