Description:
This is the picture I remember mainly from this issue: Concussion Grabs Superman in his Strong arms with "10x the strength of your kind!".

About this particular issue: This is a follow-up to an earlier issue in the same volume, in which some underground people thought Superman was "one of them" and used telepathy to see into his mind. This causes the death of one of them. . . so this issue is where Concussion comes in.

The problem between the underground/telepath people and Superman would be resolved in "the Circle Turns" at the end of #5 of this "Man of Steel" collection series.

Bearhugger:Concussion
Victim:Superman

Entry Description:
There are two comic issues that include a bearhug each, one of which Superman is grasped tightly in.

The first comic in this trade-paperback collection has Superman, disguised as Bibbo, giving a bearhug to Louie (pg 67).
The original comic for this was ”the Adventures of Superman #428, May 1987”.

The next comic has the best bearhug with Superman as a victim of the crunch from a eally big super strong alien named ”Concussion”.
Originally ”the Adventures of Superman, #429, June 1987” (the cover has Superman fighting Concussion and the name is mentioned on cover)
